- Solarium and outdoor lounge.
- Good comfort at great value
Tipping on Archipel I: The 10% service charge is a standard inclusion in most tourism services in Ecuador. However, it is not included in our rates, as tips are optional. We provide a tipping guideline:
Archipel I: Guide: USD 10 per day, per person Crew: USD 20 per day, per person
On Naturalist cruises, it is customary to tip the guide and crew separately. Gratuity amounts for the crew are higher, as our crew consists of a minimum of 9 members.
Please consider these tipping guidelines as merely suggestions. All gratuities are at the personal discretion of the traveller, and the quality of service should be the primary determinant of the tip amount. Tipping is a voluntary practice, and your travellers should never feel uncomfortable about it. If the service is not found satisfactory, tips should reflect that. If the service is outstanding, tips could be more generous. Additionally, if a particular crew member stands out, travellers can give them an extra gratuity directly.

Does an enquiry reserve this boat?
Submitting an enquiry does not confirm a booking or charge you. We may place a temporary option while checking the boat, price, selected extras and operator terms. The resulting status is shown after submission.
What is included in the displayed price?
The displayed charter price excludes all mandatory charges, including cleaning or a mandatory charter pack. Every charge specified by the operator is itemized in the price breakdown and included in the charter total there.
How do I know whether my skipper licence is accepted?
Licence rules depend on the boat, flag, sailing area and sometimes VHF certification or crew experience. We verify your documents with the operator for this exact boat before proposal.
Are the nearby weeks guaranteed to remain available?
No. They are shown only when the provider returned this boat as available, and selecting one triggers a fresh price and availability check. Availability can still change before operator confirmation.
Licence and skipper requirements
The lead skipper normally needs an accepted sailing licence and, in some destinations, a VHF certificate or a second experienced crew member. Requirements vary by flag, operator and cruising area, so we verify them with the selected boat.
