Northman

Maxus sailing yachts belong to the Northman shipyard

Northman builds Maxus sailing yachts and motor-boat families, so a Northman catalogue entry does not necessarily mean a motor yacht. Our entries under this name include the Maxus 34, 33.1 RS and 28. The Maxus 34 test discusses different centreboard versions, making the actual boat's configuration important on shallower lakes. Technical data and documents should confirm the appropriate cruising area. Compare the centreboard system, cabins and mast equipment; one lake test does not prove that every version suits any sea.

What the reviewers found

Yachtsmen.eu's Stanisław Iwiński tested the Maxus 34 on Lake Mamry and praised handling and interior space. He sailed a vertically lowering centreboard version in light winds, but would choose a pivoting centreboard for that lake. He explicitly did not test more demanding conditions, so such results are not attributed here.

Before you charter

What is bareboat charter?

You charter the boat and provide your own suitably qualified skipper and crew. Qualification requirements vary by boat, operator and sailing area. We help check your documents and the charter terms for your chosen boat.

What will your charter cost?

The search price is the boat's charter price. The boat page lists known mandatory charges, optional extras and a separate security deposit. Review the complete offer for your dates; any costs still awaiting confirmation must be checked before booking.

How does a charter request work?

  1. Choose your dates, departure base and boat.
  2. Review the charter price, charges, deposit and qualification requirements.
  3. Send your request. Yachting Planet checks availability and terms before confirming the charter.
