Neel Trimarans

Three hulls and a different cabin plan

NEEL builds cruising trimarans, so their accommodation should not be judged by a conventional two-hull catamaran layout. In the NEEL 47 review, the main living area and owner's cabin occupy the central hull, while guest cabins in the outer hulls have separate entrances. The catalogue also includes 43 and 51 models. Compare the actual boat's plan before choosing: how crew reach cabins and heads matters as well as total berth numbers.

What the reviewers found

In Cruising World's 2020 NEEL 47 test, Herb McCormick praised the light helm and turning in roughly 8 knots of wind. He also highlighted compromises in separately accessed outer-hull cabins and head arrangements. These observations concern the NEEL 47 and do not automatically apply to every NEEL trimaran.

Before you charter

What is bareboat charter?

You charter the boat and provide your own suitably qualified skipper and crew. Qualification requirements vary by boat, operator and sailing area. We help check your documents and the charter terms for your chosen boat.

What will your charter cost?

The search price is the boat's charter price. The boat page lists known mandatory charges, optional extras and a separate security deposit. Review the complete offer for your dates; any costs still awaiting confirmation must be checked before booking.

How does a charter request work?

  1. Choose your dates, departure base and boat.
  2. Review the charter price, charges, deposit and qualification requirements.
  3. Send your request. Yachting Planet checks availability and terms before confirming the charter.
