The Nautitech Open 40 layout connects the saloon with a spacious outdoor living area, with helm positions at both aft quarters. Compare it with catamarans that have one raised helm: visibility, movement on deck and shelter will differ. Check the charter listing for helm biminis and included sails. Deck plans of the 40 Open, 46 Fly and other catalogue models are not identical; relate your choice to your actual trip.
Testing the Open 40 for Yachting World, Matthew Sheahan praised its light helm and thoughtful sail handling. He also noted the smaller enclosed saloon: more living takes place outdoors, which may suit colder climates less well. Optional sails or engines on the test boat are not standard on every charter example.
You charter the boat and provide your own suitably qualified skipper and crew. Qualification requirements vary by boat, operator and sailing area. We help check your documents and the charter terms for your chosen boat.
The search price is the boat's charter price. The boat page lists known mandatory charges, optional extras and a separate security deposit. Review the complete offer for your dates; any costs still awaiting confirmation must be checked before booking.
