Maestro and Quatuor divide cabin space differently
The Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 comes in Maestro and Quatuor layouts. The manufacturer's description gives one hull to the owner's space in the Maestro, while the Quatuor provides four double cabins with separate heads. Cruising World writer Mark Pillsbury tested a four-cabin Elba 45. He liked the separate positions for helming and sail trimming, but the reviewers wanted a more robust mainsheet traveller. This 2020 test concerns one model; its equipment and layout do not apply to every Fountaine Pajot.
