Restrained design across different generations
In the Ferretti Yachts range, the open upper deck is an important part of life aboard. The officially presented 500 offers different interior styles, but a charter boat's arrangements depend on its build year and chosen specification. Catalogue names such as 500, 550 and 780 represent different alternatives, and earlier generations may differ from current presentations. Examine actual photographs and cabin plans: a familiar brand alone does not tell you how much privacy or communal space your crew will have.

In his 2021 Motor Boat & Yachting test of the 500, Jack Haines highlighted Filippo Salvetti's restrained exterior design. He also noted that those seeking greater visual impact might find it too understated. This is a design assessment of that model generation; the short public review does not justify promises about the operating results of every Ferretti.
