Two different kinds of journey
Today, Delphia's official presentation emphasises slower motor cruising inland and along the coast. Our catalogue also includes earlier Delphia 40, 47 and 31 sailing yachts, so the current brand story does not describe the entire charter selection. Start by choosing the boat type. For sailing, check the sail system; for a motor itinerary, check actual dimensions and permitted cruising waters. Model generation and real layout help you compare alternatives more precisely than the Delphia name alone.
What the reviewers found
In a 2006 Cruising World test of the Delphia 40, Jeremy McGeary appreciated handling under reduced sail and careful finishing. However, the very light helm initially felt unfamiliar, and ventilation had limitations in wet weather. This test of the sailing 40 does not apply to today's Delphia motor boats.
